Error: 911911 Security Violation and 911911 Access Denied

Definition of "911911 Security Violation" and "911911 Access Denied" Error Messages

    Description

What are the "911911 Security Violation" and "911911 Access Denied" error messages?

    Resolution

There are four common causes of the 911911 Security Violation error message:

    1. The Merchant ID (MID) and Merchant Key (MKEY) is incorrect. The MID is a twelve-digit number that is identical to your Virtual Terminal ID. The MKEY is twelve characters long and always alternates between capital letters and numbers, for instance, A1B2C3D4E5F6.
    2. Multiple MID-MKEY pairs are being passed.
    3. The transaction request is not 128-bit encrypted.
    4. XML Web Services are disabled. This option is in the Virtual Terminal, in the Configuration > Account Settings menu.

The 911911 Access Denied response, on the other hand, is almost always indicative of IP restrictions within the Virtual Terminal. These settings can be reviewed in the Configuration > IP Restrictions menu. Select the API/Shopping Cart tab and ensure the appropriate IP address(es) are allowed.
