"Data Access Error" when attempting to process a transaction using ECi e-Automate
Description
A user receives a "Data Access Error" when attempting to process a transaction using ECi e-Automate. The error message displays when the Sage Exchange interface launches.
Resolution
The Merchant ID and Merchant Key values in the e-Automate Credit Card Processing Configuration settings are not valid.
- From the Tools menu, select Options
- In the left pane, click [+] to expand the Sales Menu
- Under Sales, select Credit Card Processing
- Ensure NET1/Sage is selected for the Credit Card Vault value
- Click [Configuration settings]
- Verify that the Merchant ID and Merchant Key values match the information received in your NET1/Sage welcome email
- Click [OK] to save these settings
